One of the main features of gImageReader is its Optical Character Recognition (OCR) capability. You can easily select any area of the document you want to extract text from, whether it's a whole page or just a specific section. By clicking the 'Recognize all' button, gImageReader will extract the text for you. Alternatively, you can draw a selection using your mouse and click the 'Recognize selection' button to extract text from that specific area.

In addition to text extraction, gImageReader offers several other useful operations on the source documents. You can rotate the document by 90 degrees, zoom in or out, and customize images using basic controls. It also allows you to adjust brightness and contrast, as well as modify the document's resolution to enhance visibility.

gImageReader is a free alternative to expensive office suites like Adobe Acrobat DC. Its streamlined process and user-friendly interface make it a valuable addition to any system, providing a more straightforward and intuitive way to extract text from PDF and image files.
